Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled System Test and Performance Engineer with Min 8 years of experience in testing, performance analysis, and validation of renewable energy systems. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in PV SCADA systems, Power Plant Controllers (PPCs), Integrated Meter Data Management Systems (IMDMS), and Plant Accounting Systems. The role requires strong analytical skills and a proven track record of working on utility-scale solar or hybrid power plants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for PV SCADA systems, PPCs, and related data acquisition systems.
• Conduct system performance analysis, root cause identification, and improvement planning for solar PV and hybrid plants.
• Validate the functionality and integration of IMDMS and Plant Accounting Systems with SCADA and PPC data.
• Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and synchronization across metering, control, and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with control system engineers and OEMs to validate PPC logic and response for grid code compliance.
• Perform end-to-end functional and performance testing of real-time monitoring, alarms, and reporting modules.
• Analyze plant KPIs such as PR (Performance Ratio), CUF (Capacity Utilization Factor), availability, and downtime trends.
• Review and approve system architectures, interface control documents, and data models.
• Support commissioning, SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and performance guarantees evaluation.
• Document test results, prepare reports, and maintain traceability for all test cases and validations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of PV SCADA platforms (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Ingeteam, SCATEC, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Power Plant Controllers and inverter-grid integration logic
• Proficient in Integrated Meter Data Management Systems and energy accounting platforms
• Good understanding of power plant KPIs, plant data analytics, and IEC/IS standards
• Experience in communication protocols like Modbus, IEC 61850, OPC UA/DA
• Familiar with power system components: meters, inverters, transformers, relays
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and data validation skills
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams including SCADA, I&C, grid, and operations

Education & Certifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field
• Added advantage: M.Tech or industry certifications (e.g., SCADA Systems, ISA, NI LabVIEW, or Grid Integration)
• Knowledge of regulatory and grid standards (e.g., CEA, IEEE 1547, IEC 61724)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in large-scale solar PV, wind, or hybrid renewable projects
• Exposure to energy trading, plant forecasting systems, or SLDC integration
• Involvement in FAT/SAT, system upgrades, and performance benchmarking activities
