Job Summary

Sustainability Manager will be a highly experienced and results-oriented professional responsible for leading and managing all aspects of sustainable planning and design within the NEOM The Line project. This role requires a deep understanding of sustainable development principles, urban planning, and environmental science, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy for The Line, ensuring the integration of environmental, social, and economic considerations into all aspects of the project.
  • Lead and manage a team of sustainability professionals, including urban planners, environmental scientists, and sustainability consultants.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, urban planners, and community members, to ensure the integration of sustainability principles into the design and development of The Line.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of sustainable infrastructure, including renewable energy systems, water conservation measures, and waste management systems.
  • Promote the use of sustainable building materials and construction practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies for environmental protection and biodiversity conservation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the environmental and social impacts of the project and make necessary adjustments to minimize negative impacts.
  • Develop and implement policies and guidelines related to sustainability within The Line.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sustainable development and best practices in green building and urban planning.
  • Contribute to the development of a sustainable and resilient city that minimizes its environmental footprint.
  • Represent Parsons in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
  • Promote a culture of sustainability throughout the project.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum 22 years of progressive experience in sustainable development, urban planning, or environmental management.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainable development principles, environmental science, and urban planning.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of sustainable urban development plans.
  • Strong understanding of environmental impact assessment and environmental management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
