Support Engineer

Job Description

The Support Engineer provides high-level technical assistance to customers, ensuring the optimal performance of command and control , vision and monitoring , and communication and navigation systems . The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving configuration and integration problems, and providing supervision and technical guidance to the MRO maintenance team .

The Support Engineer also conducts regular analysis of technical issues to identify recurring failures, recommend preventive measures, and support system sustainability through redesign or enhanced maintenance. Additionally, the position actively participates in configuration management , overseeing engineering changes, ensuring change consistency, and validating system configurations. The engineer keeps all stakeholders informed about the status and performance of supported systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues related to command and control, vision and monitoring, and communication and navigation systems.
• Supervise and guide the MRO maintenance team to ensure effective system upkeep and issue resolution.
• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve system configuration, implementation, and integration issues.
• Perform regular reviews and analysis of technical issues to identify patterns, prevent recurring problems, and recommend design or maintenance improvements.
• Participate actively in configuration management processes, including engineering change control and configuration validation.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders regarding system issues, resolutions, and performance updates.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations to support maintenance and system improvement strategies.
• Support obsolescence and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Provide engineering input for procurement specifications and technical evaluations.

Educational & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in command and control, vision and monitoring, and communication and navigation systems
• Proven experience in system support, configuration management, and technical troubleshooting.
