Supervisor - QC (Structural)

Job Summary

The QC Structural Supervisor is responsible for overseeing structural quality control activities, ensuring all fabrication, welding, and installation works comply with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.

Salary : SAR 12500 - 14000

Location : Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor structural QC activities at site and fabrication areas.
• Review structural drawings, WPS/PQR, ITPs, and QC procedures prior to execution.
• Conduct inspections for structural steel fabrication, welding, alignment, and fit-up.
• Verify welder qualifications and ensure welding processes follow approved procedures.
• Coordinate NDT activities and review test reports for compliance.
• Monitor erection, bolting, grouting, and final alignment of structural components.
• Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, corrective actions, and closure documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors during inspection stages.
• Ensure materials are inspected upon receipt and comply with standards and MTC requirements.
• Implement QC checklists and support continuous improvement in structural quality.
• Ensure safety and quality practices are followed at all times on site.

Mandatory Requirements

• Diploma/Graduation in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 13–15 years of QC experience in structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Strong knowledge of structural codes: AWS D1.1, AISC, ASTM, ISO standards.
• Experience in reviewing and implementing ITPs, WPS/PQR, and welding procedures.
• Familiarity with NDT processes (VT/MT/PT/UT) and interpretation of reports.
• Ability to read and interpret complex structural drawings and shop fabrication details.
• Excellent documentation, reporting, and inspection skills.
• Strong coordination experience with clients, consultants, and TPI agencies.
