About the job:

Supervisor - Accounting Advisory Services


The Supervisor will be a pivotal member of our Government Projects Division, responsible for the delivery of complex accounting advisory projects for our government clients. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to provide insightful solutions, manage client relationships, and contribute to the growth of our practice.


Key Responsibilities:


• Execute and deliver on a range of accounting advisory engagements for government bodies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client expectations.

• Provide expert advice on the application of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

• Assist clients with complex financial reporting challenges, including the preparation of financial statements, policy development, and implementation of new accounting standards.

• Conduct detailed financial analysis, data modeling, and diagnostic reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.

• Manage project workstreams, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and the highest quality of work.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.

• Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

• Contribute to business development activities, including the preparation of proposals and presentations to prospective clients.


Qualifications and Experience:


To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting advisory within a professional services or accounting firm is required. Experience with a Big4 or Big10 accounting firm is a significant advantage.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional Certification: Holding one of the following qualifications is highly preferred: CPA, CMA, CFA, DipIFR, ACCA, SOCPA.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modelling. Demonstrable experience in data analysis is essential.

• Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic, and excellent command of English.

• Availability: The candidate must be available to join immediately.


Skills and Attributes:


• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and a strong understanding of, or demonstrable ability to quickly learn, IPSAS.

• Proven experience in managing projects and client relationships effectively.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.

• A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a high level of attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with the Saudi Arabian public sector and its financial frameworks is highly desirable.
