Context
The Structural/Bridges SME within the PMCM team is responsible for overseeing the structural and bridge construction activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, safety standards, schedules, and quality objectives. The role supports both project management and construction management functions across all phases, from pre-construction through DLP.

The Structural/Bridges SME within the PMCM team is responsible for overseeing the structural and bridge construction activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, safety standards, schedules, and quality objectives. The role supports both project management and construction management functions across all phases, from pre-construction through DLP.
Missions/Main Duties
- Review and provide expert input on structural and bridges-related project documentation, including contract drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Participate in constructability reviews and provide recommendations to enhance project delivery.
- Lead and coordinate technical reviews of shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals throughout construction.
- Oversee site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of structural and bridge works, ensuring adherence to approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve construction challenges and facilitate timely decision-making.
- Support the project management team in tracking milestones, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies for all structural/bridge works.
- Participate in commissioning, inspections, and handover procedures, including support during the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
- Prepare regular technical reports and updates for the client and project stakeholders regarding the status and performance of structural/bridge activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree and Chartership is a must.
- Due to specific project requirements, we are seeking candidates who have obtained their degree from a university in a Western country. (This preference is based solely on meeting the project's stipulated qualifications.)
- Minimum 15 years of experience in PMCM roles on large-scale road, bridge, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with the management of structural and bridge construction activities, including planning, scheduling, and compliance monitoring.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and construction procedures.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
- Middle East experience preferred
- Must be a member of a Chartered Institution
