Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for the development of stc Group strategy, supporting subsidiaries and ensuring alignment with strategy, developing innovative strategy and solution, and ideation of digital business and operations. The role holder is also responsible for providing inputs to Strategic Planning in order to translate corporate strategy in quantifiable targets and initiatives. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.The role holder is responsible for the development of stc Group strategy, supporting subsidiaries and ensuring alignment with strategy, developing innovative strategy and solution, and ideation of digital business and operations. The role holder is also responsible for providing inputs to Strategic Planning in order to translate corporate strategy in quantifiable targets and initiatives. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Prioritize group-level topics requiring analysis or insights extraction, and assign team capacity accordingly
  • Identify and develop stc’s position on key strategic topics affecting Group or multiple clusters;
  • Review Cluster and FU strategies and challenge for quality and alignment with group strategy, in alignment with Strategy Management
  • Support relevant Clusters and FUs response to selected strategic topics within their domain
  • Share knowledge on best practices for strategic analysis with wider strategy community
  • Support key Public-Private Partnership (PPP) programs (e.g., Shareek, Global Champions) by providing key strategy inputs and guidance
  • Support GCEO on ad-hoc priority topics (e.g., participation in external conferences)
  • Support Strategy Management to prepare for key meetings on strategic topics with external stakeholders

Prior experience in the telecom or related industry dealing with strategy consulting firm or strategy developing role

Bachelor Degree
