Job Purpose
Lead the integration of sustainable design principles into projects by providing technical expertise, performance assessments, and innovative solutions that ensure compliance with sustainability standards, optimize resource efficiency, and support certification processes.
Key Accountability AreasLeadership & Project Management
- Lead sustainability initiatives across multiple construction projects, ensuring alignment with, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee project documentation, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability reporting.
Sustainable Design & Implementation:
- Implement advanced sustainable design strategies such as energy modeling, daylight optimization, and indoor air quality management.
- Ensure compliance with green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, WELL, Mostadam, EDGE, Envision, Parksmart).
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to embed sustainability throughout all project phases.
- Manage documentation and processes for certification under sustainability standards (e.g., Mostadam, LEED, WELL, ISO 14001).
- Utilize BIM tools and digital platforms to monitor, track, and report sustainability metrics, ensuring data accuracy for audits and reporting.
Technical Expertise
- Provide technical guidance on sustainable materials, water conservation, renewable energy integration, and waste minimization.
- Develop sustainability plans and operational guidelines for long-term building performance.
- Prepare periodic sustainability performance reports, dashboards, and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, building codes, and sustainability standards.
- Prepare technical reports, impact assessments, and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
Innovation & Strategy:
- Identify and integrate emerging technologies and practices in sustainable construction.
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with corporate environmental and ESG goals.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, project partners, and community stakeholders.
- Lead sustainability workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
HR Proficiency:
- Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.
Delivery:
- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving:
- Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Quality:
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
Business Process Improvements:
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Health, Safety and Environment:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
