About the Role
- As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, the position will take the challenges and responsibilities to finalize and close the project for both the Contract and the Supervision Agreement as well as preparing the final payment certificate for contract and supervision agreement.
- Evaluation of quantity take off and valuations submitted by the contractor and certifications.
- Responding to client correspondence on all financial matters.
- Settling outstanding payments for subcontractors by deducting amounts from the contractor’s payment.
- Manage the work of accounting and auditing for all payments due to Local authorities, ministries and other parties involved.
- Preparing the contractor’s final payment certificate.
- Handle all payments for subcontractors and suppliers under accurately following up.
- Maintain hard copy and organized electronic filing system (soft copies for payments) to keep the smooth running of the work and ensure that work runs effectively.
- Closing out the project by preparing the consultant’s payments.
- Preparing the final payment for the supervision agreement.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in development or construction projects having worked in quantity surveying and/or project management consultancy or construction industry in the Middle East and other locations.
- Minimum qualification of degree in Quantity Surveying or an Engineering related field. A postgraduate degree of the same and/or registration as member from recognized professional body is advantageous.
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SSE) Membership or any local engineer's society membership, i.e. CRPEP (for Bahrain).
- Post Graduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
- Gives clear communications in conversation and writing.
- Time efficient and well-organized.
- Can apply company policies and procedures in the site.
- Can operate effectively in the working environment.
- Ability to learn and to gain more skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to think and react quickly in complex and/or stressful situations.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, self-motivated and energetic.
- Be helpful, positive in problem solving.
- Be flexible, dynamic and a team worker.
- Adept with Multimedia & Design programs, including Photoshop 7, Photoshop CS8 and AutoCAD.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Package including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Capable in typing 50 Words per minute in both Arabic and English languages.
- Can use internet and email effectively.
