Sr. Network Solution Architect

Job Summary:
The Sr. Network Solution Architect is responsible for designing secure, resilient, and scalable IP and cloud networking solutions. This role plays a key part in business growth by leading solution architecture for Direct Internet Access (DIA), hybrid cloud, IP fabric, and advanced load balancing environments. The architect will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure solutions meet business objectives, security requirements, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Contribution & Collaboration:
- Design market-aligned solutions that improve gross margin and drive product innovation.
- Support capacity, performance, and risk modeling for scalable network services.
- Collaborate with product, sales, operations, and finance teams to align solutions with business goals.
Architecture & Design:
- Develop and maintain High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), Methods of Procedure (MOP), and risk registers.
- Architect secure and resilient network solutions across:
- DIA and wholesale IP
- Cloud-integrated and hybrid networking
- Fortinet, Palo Alto, and next-gen firewalls
- Load balancers (Avi Networks or equivalent)
- Redundancy and SPOF elimination frameworks
- IP fabric and automated network designs
- Cloud caching and auto-scaling solutions
RFP & Proposal Development:
- Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for customer RFPs.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness requirements.
- Coordinate vendor engagement and secure technical concurrence.
Network Security & Resilience:
- Integrate best-practice security controls including segmentation, DMZ design, and zero-trust architecture.
- Implement firewall policies, access controls, and threat detection strategies using Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies.
Governance & Documentation:
- Maintain validated, current design documentation and architecture repositories.
- Conduct technical design reviews, stakeholder workshops, and peer validation sessions.
- Ensure all designs comply with operational, security, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field.
- Experience:
- 8–10 years in IP networking, solution architecture, and design.
- At least 3–4 years in senior-level roles focused on secure, scalable cloud and internet access architectures.
- Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) or Architect
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP – Enterprise or SP)
- Juniper JNCIP or JNCIE
- Fortinet NSE 7+ or Palo Alto PCNSE
- Cloud Advanced Networking Specialty (AWS/GCP/Azure) or equivalent
- ITIL Foundation or higher
- Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge in IP networking (BGP, MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS) and GPON
- Expertise in hybrid/multi-cloud architectures
- Proven design and implementation of Fortinet, Palo Alto, and advanced load balancers (e.g., Avi Networks)
- Strong experience in IP fabric and redundancy planning
- Familiarity with RFP development, vendor coordination, and stakeholder presentations
- Strong documentation and business communication skills
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical mindset
