Ensuring that an organization's operations comply with established policies and regulations. Overseeing and managing the authorization processes, which include granting or denying access to systems, data, or resources based on established criteria. Contribute to the overall security and compliance efforts of the organization, safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to critical assets.
Key Accountability AreasPolicy Development and Implementation:
- Develop, update, and implement authorization policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to the organization's authorization policies.
Authorization Process Management:
- Oversee the entire authorization lifecycle, from user onboarding to access modification and offboarding.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to establish and maintain robust access control systems.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in the authorization process.
- Implement measures to mitigate risks and strengthen the overall security posture.
Compliance Monitoring:
- Monitor and enforce compliance with internal policies as well as external regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure that authorization activities align with established standards.
Training and Awareness:
- Provide training to employees on proper authorization procedures and security best practices.
- Raise awareness about the importance of authorization in maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
Incident Response:
- Develop and implement incident response plans related to unauthorized access or breaches in the authorization system.
- Investigate and report on security incidents, taking corrective actions as necessary.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of authorization activities, changes, and incidents.
- Generate regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and compliance metrics.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure a holistic approach to authorization and security.
- Work with external auditors to facilitate compliance assessments.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency in the authorization workflow.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the organization's authorization practices.
Emergency Response:
- Develop and participate in emergency response plans related to security incidents.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to address and contain security breaches.
HR Proficiency:
- Training of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
- Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
- Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates.
Delivery:
- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving:
- Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Quality:
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
Business Process Improvements:
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Safety:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
