Job Description

Role Main Purpose

will be a key member of the Treasury Department, responsible for managing banking relationships, overseeing transactions, and ensuring the efficient operation of banking accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of banking procedures, regulations, and financial systems.

Functional Responsibilities

Banking Relationship Mgt.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with banks to optimize services and fees.
  • Stay updated with banking industry trends and regulatory changes.

Transaction Oversight

  • Monitor daily banking transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and authorize large or unusual transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with banking transactions.

Cash Management

  • Forecast cash flow and liquidity needs to optimize fund utilization.
  • Implement cash management strategies to optimize interest income and minimize borrowing costs.

Compliance And Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Implement controls to mitigate risks related to banking operations.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Reporting And Analysis

  • Prepare regular reports on treasury activities, cash positions, and related metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on analysis.

Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.

Professional and Technical Certificates: Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Professional Experience

  • 5 years’ experience as a credit transactions specialist.

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of credit management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of credit evaluation techniques, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with credit regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of accounts receivable management and collections processes. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Proficient in the use of financial software, including treasury management systems (TMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and accounting software. They should also have experience with financial modelling and forecasting software.

Proficient in data visualization tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and other visualization software.
