Summary:
The Specialist, Industrial Training (FL), Optimizes the learning process and provides any other technical
training support as required to achieve Operational Excellence by providing Finishing Lines knowledge
expertise and training instruction to employees from the Operations Division within the seamless pipe
manufacturing process. Optimizes the effectiveness of On-the-Job Training (OJT) by experienced industrial
employees to help fresh Saudi graduates become “Competent” jobholders in their target position. Adapting
and implementing World Class Training & Development Practices to achieve continual improvement of
Operations effectiveness, efficiency and consistency to ensure availability of a competent workforce now
and in the future.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop a Competency Matrix for all industrial positions within the Operation Division/Finishing
Operations Department
2. Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses against the Competency Matrix
3. Translate training needs into training programs/curriculum and supporting materials under the
supervision of the Industrial Training Manager.
4. Develop & oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.
5. Direct and implement cost-effective learning to achieve business objectives, support required skill
building and development for industrial employees and monitor quality results.
6. Deliver group & individual instruction and Training covering a range of Technical and operational areas
of the manufacturing process.
7. Support the identification and development of key performance and competency indicators.
8. Develop and maintain training and development evaluation procedures and analysis of feedback in
order to effectively evaluate the impact of development activities at all levels.
9. Evaluates the effectiveness of the external training programs and Instructors.
10. Responsible for the effectiveness of the training program.
11. Create, develop and maintain accurate up to date files, records, training material etc. as required for the
Talent Management Department.
12. Generate Human Resources data analysis/reports as required
QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Discipline (Industrial/Metallurgical/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Instrument & Control) or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 6 years’ experience in a technical within Operative Finishing Processes in the Oil & Gas Manufacturing sector (OCTG Industry or Seamless pipe manufacturing Mill desirable).
