Job Purpose:

Maintain Statutory Financial Reporting during statutory reporting of the company's financial and perform and oversee effective processing of all period end transactions (including manual journal entries/ adjustments, accruals, and provisions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and coordinate with SABIC Group Controllership in preparation of the financial statements (Quarterly and annually)
  • Provide advice on the potential implications of any regulatory changes in accordance with the Statutory Reporting Manual in KSA to ensure full compliance with IFRS.
  • Support coordinate with Global Controller to ensure the adoption of global policies and procedures, such as accounting standards, internal control guidelines, internal or external requirements.
  • Perform and oversee effective processing of all period end transactions (including manual journal entries/ adjustments, accruals, tax provisions)
  • Lead the coordination with internal auditors to ensure corporate finance related internal audits are conducted effectively and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, SOCPA, CPA, CMA is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience.

Job Specific Skills:

  • Must be familiar with international codes & standards (especially API) related to rotating equipment. Knowledge
  • Good understanding of the statutory requirements in KSA.
  • Knowledgeable with policies, procedures, and best practices around accounting services
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to changes in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances.
  • Strong experience in leading financial audits.
  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers.
