Sourcing Executive - #10915

THE POSITION

We are looking for a Sourcing Executive to be part of our Saudi Arabia Finance team based in Riyadh. This position will be responsible analyzing and managing purchasing activities and strategies including but not limited to managing demand of required goods and services, monitoring and managing suppliers, negotiating, and contracting, performing cost reduction strategies, and supporting Purchasing with all respect areas and defined criteria.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILTIES

• Support the implementation of new Purchasing concepts and tools
• Identify demand and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide appropriate marketplace insights and innovative solutions to sourcing activities
• Create and manage targets and ensure appropriate actions are taken in case of malfunction of materials/services to improve efficiency
• Use electronic purchasing systems such as ERP, E-tools, E-tenders etc. to ensure timely and effective purchases are made and sufficient documentation is provided to support the decision
• Develop and define local category strategies aligned with global/regional concepts and the respective Global Sourcing Areas
• Maintain and enhance a structured system for management of suppliers by analyzing demand, setting procurement strategies, performing negotiations, finding appropriate suppliers, setting orders, and contracting with them.
• Perform tender pitches and cost reduction strategies through bundling of orders/consolidation of demand, setting effective payment terms and conditions, and finding strategies for alternative procurements
• Negotiate for quotations to obtain favorable prices, terms and conditions of payments and service levels
• Maintains and reviews contractual agreements with suppliers of goods and services
  

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 - 4 years of experience in purchasing/sourcing function preferably indirect sourcing in pharmaceutical industry
• Previous experience and proficiency in MS applications, ERP systems and E-tools
• Fluency in English and Arabic
• Must be a national of Saudi Arabia
