As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy on a day-to-day basis across LinkedIn, YouTube, X, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat to enhance our online presence, engage our audiences, and drive business growth. Your challenge will be to expand our reach on social media and grow our following, as well as increase engagement.

Requirements

  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities
  • Oversee design (i.e. social media posts and captions)
  • Content Creation and Management: Develop engaging, high-quality content for various social media platforms
  • Community Management: Monitor and engage with our social media community.
  • Manage responses, comments and messages promptly and professionally
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance our social media presence
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, PR, and design teams to ensure a cohesive brand messaging and effective execution
  • Develop and expand the community, including influencer outreach

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Media, Marketing, or a related field (a Master's degree is a plus);
  • Certification in social media marketing, digital marketing, or related disciplines (e.g., Google Digital Marketing Certification, HubSpot Social Media Certification) is preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media strategy, management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing social media accounts for businesses or brands
  • Experience in developing and implementing data-driven social media strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-channel campaigns across platforms such as X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Snapchat

Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of various social media platforms, algorithms, and their best practices
  • Strong knowledge of social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social
  • Familiarity with paid social media advertising, campaign optimisation, and A/B testing
  • Understanding of SEO principles and their application in social media content
  • Knowledge of content marketing principles and digital media trends
  • Proficient in social media management tools, graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and video editing tools

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to tone and brand voice

  • Strong ability to analyse data, interpret insights, and implement data-driven improvements
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills to efficiently handle multiple campaigns and deadlines
