SMP - Content Strategist

Position description:

The content strategist is responsible for completing strategic content briefs in a timely manner to support the creation of high-impact content across the company’s owned assets, and assisting with any additional communications needs.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Develop editorial and creative concepts that enable high-impact story telling by the company, aligned with the communication strategy
• Provide concise and informative briefs, that represent strategic topics and themes, to guide content creators
• Research and utilize stakeholder analysis, global market data and audience insights to inform the strategic content briefs
• Liaise with the appropriate Alignment Division representative to gain insights and story angles from relevant business lines
• Ensure that content briefs are submitted to the company’s CMS platform in a timely manner
• Work with copywriters/content creators, as required, to ensure the alignment of channels working on developing content around strategic stories and themes
• Assist the digital content teams with SEO and keyword selection and measurement as appropriate
• Lead cross-functional team meetings assigned to them by the unit supervisor

Minimum requirements:

• University degree in Public Relations, Communication, International Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Communications or related field
• Understanding of multi-channel communications and how storytelling fits within it
• Portfolio of digital content creation or evidence of strategy and content development from a previous role
• Eager to craft stories and content in a fresh and interesting way for online audiences
• Excellent command of oral and written English
• Able to adapt to a multicultural environment
