Raytheon is looking for a Senior Technical Manager to provide technical guidance support for our HAWK and Patriot Sustainment Contract (HPSC) program. Primary focus is providing technical oversight with a special emphasis on the Patriot Missile system, ensuring effective maintenance and direction.
In this role you will serve as a crucial interface between the customer, field service, and various entities in the Continental US (CONUS) and Outside the Continental US (OCONUS) and are responsible for meeting contractual (cost, schedule, and performance) commitments. You will also maintain accountability and authority for assigned personnel, within the program and report to the Program Manager for the program.
This accompanied Onsite role will be in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for a 2-year long-term international assignment with additional compensation.
Extensive travel within Saudi Arabia and the United States may be required.
Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignments including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. What You Will Do
- Provide technical support to the team, fixing faults and provide guidance for technical details with technicians and engineers in the field.
- Manage a geographically dispersed, highly skilled team of Field Engineers maintaining and motivating a high performing team.
- Interface with the Royal Saudi Air Defense Force (RSADF) and other stakeholders on technical, training, and employment support.
- Responsible for program staffing: sourcing, interviewing, and working with Talent Acquisition to find qualified candidates to meet customer and contract requirements.
- Manage entire Performance Development cycle and compensation planning (employee performance reviews, documenting and communicating disciplinary action, developing and implement improvement plans if needed etc.).
- Lead the hiring and overseeing of technical support personnel to include the daily activities at customer facilities, overseeing multiple locations throughout Saudi Arabia.
- Lead the HSPC Technical team, ensuring effective achievement of program milestones, and actively participate in technical activities to mentor and guide the team.
- Develop staffing plans and administer overall direction of the team, fostering growth through mentoring, development, and onboarding of new hires.
- Highlight and reward employee accomplishments and effectively communicate company information.
- Know, communicate, and apply Raytheon policies, procedures and practices.
- Work closely with functional organizations (Program Management Office, Human Resources, Security, EHS etc.) to resolve employee issues.
- Support the success of program (technical, cost, and schedule) through effective team management.
- Advocate for process improvement (CORE) and implement efficiency measures.
- Participate in Program Reviews and customer meetings as needed.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 10+ years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12+ years’ experience.
- Experience with Global Patriot and HAWK programs.
- Experience managing product non-conformances and providing technical guidance for material review.
- Experience developing technical professionals in a field environment.
- Experience with tracking, evaluating, and reporting with On-the-Job Training (OJT) team.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE), and / or Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) principles and resources, reflecting on continuous improvement.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working in the Middle East.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers.
