Senior Technial Advisor

About The Role

This role is responsible for providing detailed technical support for SE key clients in the Middle East region (Aramco, Qatar Gas, and ADNOC). This role demands a high level of technical expertise and will serve as the primary technical interface between SE clients in the Middle East and the global SE Compression team.

This role reports directly to the Head of Product Integrity in the Product Development team but will also act as a subject matter expert for Sales, Bid Management, and Service in the Middle east region.

This role will require approximately 30% travel with the remainder spent at the SE office in Damman, Saudi Arabia. This role will require extended availability to manage urgent client needs and interface with the global organization.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Lead the resolution of customer technical issues in the Middle East region, including Root Cause Analysis and resolution of technical non-conformance issues.
• Lead assigned cross functional teams consisting of global technical experts (internal and external) to resolve client issues and transfer knowledge with counterparts in other regions.
• Manage the client interface in a challenging and dynamic environment, leading the relationship from a technical standpoint.
• Work closely with technical experts in the global Product Integrity, Sales, Bid Management and Service teams.
• Provide input to the Product Improvement Process (PIP) to drive resolution of Operational Issues (OI), Technical Issues (TI), and Significant Field Issues (SFI)
• Provide input to product development teams and act as reviewer during design reviews.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in related field of mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 15+ years of experience in rotating equipment design, factory acceptance testing, controls design, package design, site commissioning, maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and service-related activities.
• Previous experience writing technical articles/papers within the industry (ASME, GASTECH, ADIPEC, LNG Technology, Turbo Symposium, Compressor Tech 2, etc)
• Experience leading RCAs and relevant methodologies (FMEA, Fault tree analysis, Kepner Tregoe, 5 Whys)
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting rotating equipment and key components (Dry Gas Seals, couplings, bearings)
• Experience with other equipment (Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Gears, pumps)
• Experience with common industry simulation and monitoring tools (HYSYS, Bently Nevada Adre)
• Ability to work and communicate directly with the customer in a high-pressure environment.
• Fluency in English and ability to explain technical details and concepts to experienced rotating equipment engineers, customers, and non-technical personnel.
