The ideal candidate will have a solid background in structural design and coordination for high-rise buildings, with experience working in a consultant environment. This role requires technical excellence, leadership skills, and the ability to work on complex projects.""
Responsibilities
Lead structural design and analysis of high-rise building projects from concept to construction stage.
Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and design reports ensuring they meet project requirements and local codes.
Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to ensure fully integrated design solutions.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs and reviewing contractor submissions.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff within the team.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and authorities as required to ensure the success of the project.
Ensure adherence to WSP’s QA/QC procedures and international standards.
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on high-rise buildings.
Proven experience working within an engineering consultancy on large-scale building projects.
Proficient in industry-standard structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and REVIT.
Sound knowledge of international and local structural design codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes, etc.).
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree or professional license (e.g., PE, CEng) is preferred.
