Job Purpose:

As Sr. Specialist Accounting your role is to oversee the accounting department and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is responsible for managing accounting operations, financial analysis, and compliance with financial regulations.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform complex accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and account
  
  
  

analysis.

• Prepare financial reports and analysis, providing insights to management.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Assist in the implementation of accounting systems and processes.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  
  
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or an equivalent. Master's degree is preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in Accounting.
  
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience of working in government or semi-government organization is a plus
