WSP Middle East are currently looking for a Senior Risk Manager to join the WSP in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Extract critical information from the minds of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and gather associated data from internal or external resources to inform risks, issues and interfaces on the programme and projects.
- Analyze, evaluate, monitor progress and report on risks, issues and interfaces across the programme working closely with the contractor and client.
- Develop, review and execute the risk management plans across the programme and guide the contractor and client on good practices.
- Analyse existing work processes, procedures and systems, identifying opportunities for increased efficiencies and service improvements.
- Recommend ways to identify controls, monitor interfaces / dependencies or reduce risk.
- Manage and undertake the Quantitative Risk Assessments of cost and schedule.
- Contribute to the formal project reporting and ad-hoc reports as required, including weekly and monthly requirements.
- Bachelor Degree with minimum 15 years relevant experience on a variety of large complex construction projects with 5 years in infrastructure delivery
- Sound knowledge of project development and delivery requirements with knowledge and experience specifically related to project controls and risk management tools.
- Proven track record working in collaboration with project directors and project teams to develop risk registers and risk management / control plans using facilitated risk workshop and other methods
- Experience in the use of Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) tools for the analysis of cost estimates, financial models and schedules (e.g. Microsoft excel, @risk, Acumen)
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, influence others and communicate effectively
- Experience in the preparation of executive reporting and presenting data visually
- Experience in the use of a full suite of strategies to manage risk including control strategies, financial instruments or contract mechanisms to manage risk
- Knowledge of ISO 31000 and project standards for risk management
- Experience in the preparation of executive level reporting and preparation of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
- Desirable is Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Prince2 certification or Association for Project Management (APM) chartered (or similar association
- Desirable is membership or certification from a recognised risk association such as Institute for Risk Management (IRM), Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA), Global Association for Risk Professionals (GARP), Risk Management Institute of Australia (RMIA), Risk Engineering Society (RES) or similar
