Senior Restaurant Specialist

Responsiblities:

● Responsible for day to day activities related to supervising all restaurant related activities including checking in on dining customers to enquire about food quality and service,supervising the kitchen staff and catering staff, monitoring inventory, and maintaining a consistently smooth running operation.

● Maintain regular communication with the food and beverages manager to provide updates, discuss plans, communicate needs, and align on priorities.

● Work hand in hand with the Executive Chef to ensure customers’ orders are prepared as per the best standards.

● Remain on the floor for the majority of time to maintain a high level of service and standards including prompt delivery of food, food quality, cleanliness etc.

● Ensure that all restaurant staff have complete knowledge of menu and ingredients and are able to effectively communicate it to guests.

● Handle guest complaints or special requests and use discretion when offering compensation.

● Work hand in hand with the Entertainment Manager to cater for any special services requirements for customer’s occasions and events.

● Monitor the restaurant’s cash flow and report back to the finance team regarding the settlement of outstanding bills.

● Work hand in hand with the Executive Chef and Procurement to ensure food supplies and other restaurant essentials are adequately ordered.

● Manage inventory, control breakage/loss reduction of china, glass and silver related to restaurant services.

● Oversee food preparation, presentation, and storage to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.

● Keep up with current trends in the industry and make suggestions on how these could be implemented for the benefit of the restaurant.

Education:

● Diploma in Hospitality or any other relevant field.

Required Years of Experience:

● Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a similar role or function.
