Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Project Manager (Utilties) to join our team! In this role you will have overall responsibility for overseeing the project technical submissions and the development of budgets, schedules and reports as well as for the management and coordination of project staff to ensure safe, cost effective, efficient and timely completion of projects in order to meet and/or exceed client expectations.
Project Manager is responsible for ensuring safe project delivery, ensuring that quality, schedule and cost targets are met and for managing the associated risk. Responsible for delivery of project to agreed specifications, for managing change and customer relationships, and ensuring appropriate reporting and governance is adhered to and controlled.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Project Execution
Maintain responsibility with associated technical, commercial and financial departments including technical deliverables, relations with all stakeholders, revenue delivery, margin and overhead management, budget and forecast determination and attainment, risk and opportunity reviews, project and cost controls, contracts.
Contributes to and reviews the project and plan to determine timeframe, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
Contributes to setting project evaluation parameters.
Follows Change Management process to proactively identify, assess, and approve modifications to scope, cost, and schedule.
Pursue and develop opportunities for innovation, such as digitalization and technology use.
Establishes project procedures and leads production and supervision of project execution plan including the scope of work, deliverables list, master schedule, budget, org charts, risk register, etc.
Regularly reports project progress to senior management and/or the customer.
Responsible for delivery of agreed schedule and financial performance, proactively intervening to avoid slippage
Ensures competence of project team members to carry out assigned work
Interface with discipline department managers on needs, mobilization and demobilization of resources
Leads ongoing focus on risk identification and mitigation during project execution
Leadership
Role model for ethical behavior and compliance with applicable laws, international standards and policies.
Leads by example, focuses on supporting others to achieve project success.
Oversees proposals and call-offs within delegation of authority, ensuring compliance with contracting policy and standards of ethical conduct.
Coaches, mentors, and empowers others to make decisions within established parameters.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
BS in Engineering in related discipline from western university with 20 years of experience in an Oil and Gas related EP/EPC/ EPCM environment, within Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Operations.
Demonstrated technical expertise, proven management, supervisory and business development
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Professional Engineer registration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong experience in writing and preparing specification and design reports for structural works.
Proficient in handling the project operations entailing planning, resource utilization, quality management & manpower management.
Complete understanding of constructability, operability and maintainability requirements.
