Senior Project Manager (Core Banking, Temenos Transact)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with expertise in Core Banking Systems and Temenos Transact to lead end-to-end project delivery for our banking and financial clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of core banking implementation, upgrades, and integration projects, ensuring that deliverables are met within scope, budget, and timeline while adhering to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

Manage full project lifecycle for Temenos Transact implementation, upgrades, or enhancements, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as the primary point of contact between clients, vendors (e.g., Temenos), and internal teams.

Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives.

Present project updates, milestones, and risks to senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Technical Leadership

Oversee the integration of Temenos Transact with other banking platforms and third-party solutions.

Ensure project deliverables align with architectural standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex system issues during implementation.

Team Management

Lead cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, testers, and third-party vendors.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers or team members.

Conduct performance reviews and facilitate knowledge-sharing within the team.

Quality Assurance & Reporting

Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.

Monitor and evaluate project performance using KPIs.

Manage project post-mortems and provide lessons learned for future initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education & Certifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.

Experience

10+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years of experience managing core banking projects.

Demonstrated expertise in Temenos Transact implementation or similar core banking platforms.

Proven experience in delivering large-scale, multi-country banking projects.

Skills

Strong understanding of Temenos architecture, APIs, and integration frameworks.

Knowledge of banking operations, digital transformation, and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with other Temenos modules such as Infinity or Analytics.

Familiarity with cloud migration and deployment for banking systems.

Prior experience in agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum).
