Senior Project Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer with 15 years of expertise. The candidate should manage all technical processes within the project including engineering & process as well as Procurement & Construction critical transversal activities implying risks, opportunities (cost), challenges (such as novelties or volume or organization complexity) - in front of client and partners, subcontractors or authorities.

In charge of the application of the well-being policy and the deployment of the ESG roadmap for the project team

Key Responsibilities:

• 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas project Management.
• Represents the company towards clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors and third parties for technical subjects and contributes to business development initiatives and supports engineering and process/HSED disciplines in front of clients, partners, subcontractors and vendors.
• Builds and maintains relationship with customer and other stakeholders associated with the Project Engineering Scope (partners, subcontractors, vendors …).
• Identifies enhanced business technico-commercial opportunities at Tender stage and works with the proposal Manager to communicate customer requirements and to drive customer specifications toward standardized product solutions during tender stage
• Performs in depth review of the Contract, the tender and bid documents. Ensures along with Proposal Manager that the Project Team understands the scope of work and endorses the Customer’s needs and objectives.
• Contributes to people development by interfacing with project department.
• Involved in defining project strategy with Project Manager and ensures its implementation through technical project execution within time and budget, monitoring compliance with QHSES requirements, contractual commitments and ESG roadmap.
• Defines engineering coordination procedures, issues the basic data for design, and approves general project specifications
• Ensures timely approval of engineering and requisitioning documents from the client, as well as timely technical and economical definition of change orders and/ or claims
• Contributes to schedule preparation, actively controls schedule execution and proposes corrective actions when needed
• Ensures timely internal and external reporting on engineering / requisitioning activities to project manager and client
• Contributes to respect of material and man/hours budget
• Validate optimized technical/economical solutions proposed by engineering and process/HSED disciplines and arbitrate as necessary.
• Ensures coordination of interfaces among all technical disciplines internally and externally with vendors, licensors, and partners
• Ensures timely review/issue of Subcontracting documents (scope of works, price schedule, list of engineering documents)
• Contributes to defining and coordinating the permitting process with local authorities to obtain approval on engineering documents
• Assesses transverse lessons learnt applicable for the project and promotes continuous improvement culture
• Establishes project close out for the full technical scope
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas project Management.
• Extensive experience in significant petrochemical, oil, and gas mega projects.
• Practical experience in coordinating with Saudi Aramco, Saudi Government Authorities and other relevant entities.
• Strong background in collaborating with operational facilities, Saudi Aramco Departments, Third Parties, and Joint Ventures.
• Engineering degree or equivalent
• Must have covered in previous experience all EPC project phases including Construction site experience.
• Fluency in English
• Excellent understanding of on-offshore projects, including relevant equipment, operations and services
• Functional team leadership and managing critical timelines with the goal to streamline and provide critical customer service
• Deep understanding of the business principles for the Oil & Gas industry
• Thorough understanding and experience in Project delivery processes and principles
