WSP is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Project Control Expert to support a large-scale Operations, Maintenance, and Refurbishment (OMR) program for infrastructure assets in Riyadh. This role will oversee the implementation and management of project controls processes including cost, schedule, progress, and reporting to ensure successful program delivery under WSP’s PMC scope.
Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and management of integrated project controls systems across multiple infrastructure workstreams including roads, bridges, tunnels, utilities, and public realm assets.
- Develop and maintain the master schedule and monitor progress using industry-standard software such as Primavera P6.
- Manage cost control activities, including budget tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and earned value management (EVM).
- Coordinate with design, engineering, commercial, and delivery teams to align project timelines and budget controls.
- Ensure timely and accurate project reporting, including dashboards, KPIs, and performance summaries for internal stakeholders and client presentations.
- Identify risks and issues affecting project timelines or costs and propose mitigation measures in collaboration with technical and construction teams.
- Monitor contractor performance against contract requirements and planned milestones.
- Provide input on contract administration and support claims analysis related to time and cost.
- Guide junior team members and ensure knowledge transfer of project control best practices.
- Liaise with client representatives, ensuring alignment with project objectives, processes, and reporting standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in project controls for large-scale infrastructure, refurbishment, and facilities management projects, preferably under PMC/Supervision roles.
- Strong experience with Operations, Maintenance, and Refurbishment (OMR) programs is required.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, Power BI, cost management tools (e.g., Oracle, ARES PRISM, MS Excel advanced), and reporting software.
- In-depth knowledge of project lifecycle stages, planning methodologies, and risk management.
- Fluency in Arabic (native speaker) is mandatory, with strong English communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience managing complex stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams.
