Senior Power Systems Engineer

You will lead and oversee the design, analysis, and optimization of complex power systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power engineering, with expertise in power generation, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage power systems engineering projects from conception to completion, including planning, design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Conduct detailed feasibility studies, load flow analysis, and transient stability studies to assess the performance and reliability of power systems.
• Design and optimize power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, considering factors such as capacity, efficiency, cost, and environmental impact.
• Develop technical specifications, standards, and guidelines for equipment and systems used in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Perform system modeling and simulation using specialized software tools (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP) to analyze and optimize power system operation and performance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in power systems, including renewable energy integration, grid modernization, and energy storage solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and regulatory experts, to address technical challenges and achieve project objectives.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development activities to showcase technical capabilities and secure new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., Master's or Ph.D.) is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a focus on power generation, transmission, distribution, and grid integration.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in power systems analysis and simulation software tools (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP) and programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python) is required.
• Strong knowledge of power system modeling, optimization techniques, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with renewable energy systems, energy storage technologies, and distributed generation is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
