Role Objective:
- To develop, update and report the job’s construction schedules, resource requirements in coordination with the relevant departments across the company.
- To fulfill client requirements in relation to the project schedule, updating and reports.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with the Cost Control and Construction in the calculation and updating of the Company’s productivity rates (manpower and equipment).
- Prepares internal monthly planning report for project team and business unit management.
- Studies contract documents to become fully knowledgeable of project scope, specifications, and constraints.
- Prepares preliminary tender schedules and manpower histograms in coordination with Business Development.
- Prepares the Baseline schedule, manpower schedule in coordination with stakeholders
- Develops the Baseline schedule using the critical path method.
- Visits sites as needed to monitor the actual progress of work done and update the schedule.
- Revises the logic (if required) of the remaining planned activities in coordination with the construction team in order to maintain an accurate schedule.
- Prepares client report and internal reports on a weekly and monthly basis
- Prepares revised, recovery and accelerated schedules.
- Attends site progress meetings.
- Coordinates and assists in conducting the site coordination meetings with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Communicates effectively and coordinates with the site team and other functions (procurement, engineering, cost control, etc.) to improve the time management of the project.
- Prepares and updates the micro schedule with actual quantities and progress on a daily basis.
- Monitors and aggregates the productivity data from the construction daily reports site rounds and time sheets. Reports irregularities to the project team.
- Revises the construction schedule in light of variation orders and submit notifications and extension of time claims to the client.
- Conducts delay analysis when needed and determine the need to submit extension of time claims, also assists the contracts team in preparing the required supporting documents for time claims.
- Documents and maintains the schedule changes and communicate to the project team and all related functions.
- Updates the Actual progress and the forecasted construction schedules in system (if applicable)
- Issues job handing over report incorporating variances between construction schedule and job actual progress
- Maintains and stores all scheduling related data such as client/consultant approved copies of the baseline schedule, updated schedules, weekly/monthly reports, photographs etc. in the server or in the project filing system.
Skills and job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (BSc is mandatory)
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in project planning, preferably with contractors in data center or industrial projects
- Proven expertise in Primavera and Power BI
- Possession of one or more of the following certifications is mandatory:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional)
- PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional)
- Strong understanding of contractual and commercial implications related to project scheduling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working on mega or fast-track industrial/data center projects
- Knowledge of risk management tools and techniques
- Familiarity with regional construction practices and regulations in Saudi Arabia
