Job Purpose
Lead the development, monitoring, and analysis of project schedules to support successful project delivery. The Senior Planner will manage complex schedules, conduct risk and critical path analysis, integrate cost/resource data, and provide accurate forecasting and performance insights.

Lead the development, monitoring, and analysis of project schedules to support successful project delivery. The Senior Planner will manage complex schedules, conduct risk and critical path analysis, integrate cost/resource data, and provide accurate forecasting and performance insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Ensure schedules align with project scope, budget, contractual requirements, and delivery timelines.
- Integrate resource loading, productivity rates, and cost data into the schedule to support forecasting.
- Track project progress against the baseline schedule and identify deviations.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and update S-curves, progress reports, and executive dashboards.
- Perform detailed critical path analysis to identify key activities and potential bottlenecks.
- Assess impacts of delays, variations, and scope changes.
- Provide scenario-based schedule forecasts and recovery plans.
- Conduct schedule risk assessments using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Simulate alternative sequences and “what-if” scenarios to support decision-making.
- Evaluate mitigation strategies and propose optimization recommendations.
- Prepare periodic reports, progress narratives, and presentations for senior management.
- Support the Project Director / PMO with planning insights during project reviews.
- Communicate planning and scheduling matters clearly to multi-disciplinary teams.
- 15+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory) and MS Project.
- Strong understanding of EPC processes and construction sequencing.
- Experience in integrating cost and resource data into schedules.
- Advanced skills in S-curves, earned value management (EVM), and schedule performance reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bilingual (English & Arabic) preferred.
