- Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations.
- System Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in payroll systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all payroll practices are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports.
- Audit and Review: Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies in payroll records.
- Employee Support: Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear explanations and resolving issues promptly.
- Detail Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in payroll software and systems, with advanced knowledge of Excel and data management tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret payroll data and develop insights for continuous improvement.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve payroll issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and addressing employee concerns effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar payroll certification preferred.
- Extensive experience in payroll management, preferably in a senior or specialized role.
- Has experience or knowledge in actuarial analysis.
- Has experience or has previously worked on department budgets.
- Thorough understanding of tax regulations and payroll compliance standards.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with payroll trends and technologies.
