Senior Operator, CCM

• Responsible & Supervision for teeming, casting, Tundish preheating, spare maintenance and routine maintenance activities on casting floor and spray chamber Responsible for smooth production with safe practice.

Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:

• Getting feedback from reliever at the start of his shift.
• Giving feedback to his coming reliever at the end of his shift.
• Take up all the jobs responsibility in absence of CCM shift casting foreman
• Tundish preheating, Slide gate cylinder sensor fixing, Shroud fixing / changing and cleaning.
• Mould body changing, mould tube cleaning oil way cleaning.
• Monitoring / reporting Tundish level during casting.
• Stand preparation for casting. Operation of all strands in new tundish or in running.
• Inform shift foreman / supervisor if any abnormality during shift.
• Proper housekeeping of CCM control room & periphery area of CCM casting floor.
• Any other jobs assigned by the supervisor as required for the smooth operation of plant.

Other Responsibilities:

• Strictly following the safe working practices and safety rules of the organization as per HS&E Policy.

• Strictly Follow the Safety Instruction related to the Jobs

• Keep issued PPE in good and workable condition.

• Do not allow any unsafe PPE usage by staff report PPE damages to concerned authority

• Avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipments and welfare facilities.

• Should attend the safety training scheduled for them

• Have right to say” NO” to any unsafe work.

• SBT / On the Job training / Tool Box Talks to the Sub-ordinates

• STOP program awareness & implementation

• Ladle Nozzle opening / lancing Temperature sampling.

• Slag box and emergency slag box cleaning / changing.

• Dummy bar packing / sealing Oil tank topping up.

• Stand preparation for casting, sanding for Tundish nozzles.

• Strand run out / cleaning in case of failures.

• Strand run out / cleaning in case of failures.

• Spray nozzle cleaning / changing during turn round / down day.

• Stand operation in shift starting restating as and when required.

• Normal process cycle is on, Manpower is ok for next shift.

• The employee will be work in General Shift / Shift Rota as per company requirement.

• Employee can be transfer to any production unit within company as per company requirement.
