Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the design of mechanical systems, including HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Prepare and generate detailed mechanical calculations using advanced tools and spreadsheets.
• Coordinate and collaborate with senior engineers across disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
• Work closely with BIM engineers to meet project requirements, deadlines, and quality standards.
• Represent the organization in client and project meetings, providing expert-level technical insights.
• Provide status updates on project progress and highlight critical milestones.
• Offer innovative and high-level technical solutions for complex building services challenges while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in building services (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting).
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly in consultancy projects.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit and Navisworks.
• Proficiency in design tools such as HAP, Elite, Psychrometric Chart, Duct Sizer, and Pipe Sizer.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, construction methods, and codes, including ASHRAE, UPC, ASPE, NFPA, and SBC (501, 601, 701, and 801).
• Proven track record of delivering high-performance projects across commercial, residential, and urban-scale developments.
• -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
