Senior Manager - Urban Design - (20003768 MAS 713)

Qiddiya Investment Company is at the forefront of developing a groundbreaking entertainment and cultural destination in Saudi Arabia, and we are looking to add a Senior Manager - Urban Design to our talented team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for steering urban design initiatives that align with our vision of creating extraordinary and sustainable urban environments.

Your expertise in urban design will be crucial in overseeing the development of master plans and guiding design teams in delivering innovative solutions that enhance the public realm while meeting the functional and aesthetic requirements of Qiddiya.

As a Senior Manager, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, landscape architects, and civic leaders, ensuring that all design initiatives reflect the company's commitment to quality, sustainability, and community well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the District Masterplanning & Urban Design Studies of Qiddiya Districts
• Oversee internal design permitting and approvals requirements / pathways to ensure timely approval of all precinct and asset designs
• Assist with the supervison of any Masterplanner consortia team with disciplines including urban design, architecture, landscape, art & culture, theming, wayfinding & signage, lighting, street furniture, environment, accessibility and GIS / BIM
• Produce the design briefs as required to guide architects/ urban designers / landscape architects through the precinct planning and design phases
• Ensure conformance with Urban, Architectural and Landscape design guidelines
• Update the LDC / architect long list and selection criteria for precincts and assets, and produce shortlists where required
• Work closely with all Qiddiya internal team and communicate accordingly
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree is highly preferred
• Minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience in urban design, with proven leadership experience in managing large-scale urban design and planning projects
• Solid understanding of urban design principles, site planning regulations, and sustainability practices
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in various design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
• Experience working in the MENA region or on large-scale developments is preferred
