Senior Manager - Strategic Procurement

Role Overview:

The Qiddiya Investment Company, a key player in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, is seeking a Senior Manager for Strategic Procurement. This role is crucial in ensuring effective procurement practices for one of the nation's most ambitious giga projects, which aims to create a premier destination for entertainment, culture, and lifestyle.

The Senior Manager will develop and implement procurement strategies, focusing on major categories, optimizing costs, and ensuring high-quality supplier performance. This position will collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage supplier relationships to drive operational efficiencies and strategic procurement excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Category Strategy Development
• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with Qiddiya's objectives for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
• Analyze market trends and opportunities to leverage strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships
• Supplier Relationship Management
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation
• Negotiate contracts and framework agreements to secure advantageous terms for the company
• Operational and Performance Management
• Oversee procurement operations, ensuring compliance with established strategies and business unit needs
• Monitor and report on performance metrics to identify areas of improvement
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Engage with multiple stakeholders across the organization to align procurement strategies with overall project goals
• Support local economic development efforts and help improve local supplier capabilities to meet Qiddiya's procurement needs
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic procurement, especially within large-scale projects, with a focus on the construction or entertainment sectors
• Proven track record of developing and implementing sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Experience in working within multicultural teams and a solid understanding of the local business landscape in Saudi Arabia
• Certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP are highly advantageous
