Job Purpose
Oversee and manage audit engagements related to operational functions and shared services, ensuring effective risk mitigation, internal control compliance, and value-added recommendations. This role ensures audit coverage of functions such as procurement, HR, IT, finance operations, and facility management, aligning with strategic objectives and audit best practices.
Key Accountabilities
Audit Engagement Management
Oversee and manage audit engagements related to operational functions and shared services, ensuring effective risk mitigation, internal control compliance, and value-added recommendations. This role ensures audit coverage of functions such as procurement, HR, IT, finance operations, and facility management, aligning with strategic objectives and audit best practices.
Key Accountabilities
Audit Engagement Management
- Plan, execute, and report on complex audits across operational and shared service areas.
- Ensure audits are conducted efficiently, within scope, time, and budget, and comply with IIA standards.
- Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and emerging risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Perform risk assessments of shared services and operational processes.
- Contribute to the development of the annual audit plan with a focus on high-risk operational areas.
- Engage senior management and business unit leaders to understand process changes, risks, and audit expectations.
- Communicate audit findings clearly and diplomatically, influencing positive change and accountability.
- Lead and mentor audit staff during planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
- Promote a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement within the audit team.
- Track and report on the implementation status of audit recommendations.
- Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for executive leadership and Audit Committee reviews.
