Senior Manager - Data Centre Implementation KSA

Robert Walters has partnered with one of the largest data centre developer and operator in the Middle East. They're looking to hire a Senior Manager - Data Centre Implementation to manage the end-to-end implementation of complex Data Centre projects in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of complex data centre implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery from initial planning through to commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as IT, security, operations, finance, and special projects as well as external vendors, contractors, consultants, manufacturers, and government authorities to achieve project milestones.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, resource allocations, risk assessments, and progress reports while maintaining alignment with organisational goals.
• Supervise the commissioning process for new facilities by managing hardware installation, system integration, performance testing, and adherence to Uptime Institute's Tier standards.
• Lead regular site inspections to verify that construction activities comply with local and international standards as well as design specifications.
• Manage project budgets meticulously by tracking costs, verifying invoices for deliverables prior to management review, allocating resources efficiently, and monitoring expenditures for financial sustainability.
• Champion value engineering efforts by collaborating with stakeholders to identify cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or safety.
• Ensure all projects adhere strictly to governance guidelines while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
• Mentor and develop the implementation team by providing guidance, training sessions, and fostering a collaborative environment that supports creativity and professional growth.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by exploring new technologies and processes that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and energy performance within data centre operations.
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Min. 12-15 years' experience in data centre implementation or delivery with a minimum of 5 years spent in managerial roles overseeing large-scale projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data centre infrastructure including servers, storage systems, network architecture, cooling solutions, power management systems, and security protocols.
• Demonstrated track record managing complex construction projects from design review through commissioning while ensuring compliance with Uptime Institute's Tier standards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines and quality benchmarks under pressure.
• Familiarity with industry regulations governing data centres along with local/international standards related to safety certification (e.g., Uptime Institute).
• Advanced organisational skills for meticulous planning of budgets/resources/timelines coupled with strong analytical abilities for risk assessment/reporting.
