Senior IT Engineer

The Senior IT Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's IT systems and infrastructure. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify technology requirements, recommending solutions, and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our IT environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, extensive experience with IT infrastructure and networking, and a passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the company's IT systems and infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and security systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess technology needs and requirements and recommend appropriate solutions to support business objectives.
• Manage and optimize cloud services, such as G-suits and Office 365.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and system outages, and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks and improve uptime.
• Lead IT projects from inception to completion, including planning, resource allocation, execution, and documentation.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools and make recommendations for adoption based on business needs and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to procure hardware, software, and services and manage vendor relationships effectively.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in IT infrastructure and networking and proactively recommend strategies to enhance the company's technological capabilities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT engineering or a similar role, with a proven track record of success in designing and implementing complex IT solutions.
• Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and security systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications, such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or AWS/Azure certifications, are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
