Key job responsibilities

This role is focused on looking at our KSA workplace from an overall country lens working across multiple businesses, predominantly operating in Amazon Stores and Payment entities.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will architect the launch of programs and initiatives in line with government Saudi Vision 2030, to focus on overall Saudi progress and take steps towards that. This will include HR program delivery from conception and design through implementation, measurement, closure, and supporting day-to-day operations as well as on-going process improvement. Further breakdown of responsibilities is mentioned below:

  • Launch external initiatives in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
  • Work collaboratively in developing and owning the delivery of Amazon’s employer value proposition in KSA
  • Lead end-to-end external engagements in partnership with Amazon internal teams and government authorities.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Public Policy, and PR to design, review, and revise people programs, policies, and practices to sustain positive employee relations that are compliant with the relevant employment law.
  • Work with the People Experience Technology organization in Amazon and with other HR leaders to further the efforts around making Amazon the Earth’s best employer brand in KSA.
  • Evangelize and gain buy-in for strategy and roadmap by writing narratives and influencing Business and HR leadership
  • Create HR program goals and related metrics, track progress, and manage through obstacles to achieve objectives
  • Define user experience goals, stories and requirements that can be used to develop new programs and services as well as improve existing processes

A day in the life

The incumbent will partner closely with the country manager (director) and his leadership team. The incumbent will also work across different PXT and partner teams like GREF, PR, and PP, among others, in the region. This is a strategic role with reputational impact and will require the incumbent to surface both internal and external employee sentiments and augment the overall brand value of the organization.

About The Team

This role is part of the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey (MEA-TR) People Experience and Technology (PXT) team, which is obsessed with making Amazon the Earth's best employer. Our focus areas include improving the experience of our employees, growing a more diverse and inclusive workplace, and enabling business growth by building organizational capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years in HR business partnering / project management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field is required
  • Experience of operating as a strategic Business Partner, with demonstrated success in meeting exceptionally high standards in a high-volume, fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is essential
  • Experience in coaching senior leaders and managers and strong talent assessment skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree/MBA in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred
  • Ability to work independently, as well as an active member of both business and HR teams
