The Role

We are seeking a Senior Fuel Engineer to join our team on a high-profile Aviation PMC (Project Management Consultancy) project based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical in overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of aviation fuel systems to meet the operational and safety requirements of a major airport development.

The Senior Fuel Engineer will work closely with design consultants, project managers, and client stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality fuel infrastructure solutions that comply with international and local standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design review and coordination of aviation fuel systems including fuel farms, hydrant systems, and distribution networks.
• Ensure fuel system design complies with ICAO, NFPA, API, GACA, and other relevant international and local standards.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of fuel system requirements with broader airport infrastructure.
• Review and approve technical documents such as design drawings, technical specifications, and material submittals.
• Monitor project milestones, ensuring that the fuel engineering components are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Engage with the client and PMC leadership team to provide regular updates and resolve design and engineering challenges.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with specific expertise in aviation fuel systems.
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale airport or fuel infrastructure projects, preferably in the Middle East region.
• Strong knowledge of fuel storage, transfer, distribution systems, and hydrant network design.
• Prior experience working in a PMC or consulting environment is preferred.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of international standards including ICAO, NFPA 407, API standards, JIG (Joint Inspection Group), and GACA requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, CAESAR II, or similar piping design tools).
