The Role

As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major aviation project in Jeddah, the Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the review and coordination of electrical design deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical designs, drawings, and specifications submitted by design consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and codes.
• Provide technical oversight for LV/MV systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and special airport systems (e.g., AGL, BHS, ELV).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall airport design.
• Attend design coordination meetings and provide subject matter expertise to resolve technical issues and align with project objectives.
• Support value engineering efforts and design optimization from a lifecycle and efficiency standpoint.
• Monitor design progress and support quality assurance in all electrical engineering outputs.
  
  
  

Key Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design engineering, with significant experience on large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects.
• Strong background in working on PMC or client-representative teams.
• Previous involvement in airport terminal or airfield design is highly desirable.
  
  
  

Key Knowledge And Skills

• In-depth knowledge of international electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, IET, GACA).
• Familiarity with airport-specific systems such as airfield lighting, ELV, and backup power systems.
• Proficiency in design review processes, including submittals, technical reports, and specifications.
