Qiddiya Investment Company is pioneering the development of an extraordinary entertainment and cultural destination in Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Senior Director - Landscape to lead our landscape architecture division. This role is pivotal in crafting an innovative landscape vision that supports Qiddiya's mission to create a sustainable, dynamic, and engaging outdoor environment.

As the Senior Director - Landscape, you will oversee all aspects of landscape architecture and public realm design, providing strategic direction and ensuring that projects reflect our commitment to excellence and environmental stewardship. You will lead a diverse team of landscape professionals and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of design concepts across our development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and promote a holistic landscape architecture vision that aligns with Qiddiya's core values and long-term development goals
• Direct the development and implementation of innovative landscape design concepts for various projects within Qiddiya
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of landscape architects and designers, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration
• Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure that landscape initiatives support overall project strategies and enhance visitor experiences
• Oversee the procurement and management of external consultants and contractors for landscape projects
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, sustainability practices, and zoning laws in all landscape design processes
• Review and approve all landscape designs, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and align with project budgets and timelines
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform strategic decisions regarding landscape development
• Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, government entities, and other organizations to facilitate successful project outcomes
• Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in landscape architecture, proactively integrating innovative design solutions into projects
• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and stakeholders on project updates, design concepts, and strategic initiatives
  
  

Requirements

• Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field; Professional certification (e.g., ASLA) is preferred
• 18 - 20 years relevant experience in landscape architecture, with a strong focus on leadership roles in large-scale and complex projects
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality landscape design projects from inception to completion
• Exceptional understanding of landscape design principles, sustainable practices, and construction methods
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to empower and develop team members
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
• Proficient in landscape design software, project management tools, and presentation platforms
• Effective budget management and resource allocation skills, demonstrating an ability to maintain project profitability
• A passion for innovation and creativity in landscape design, with a commitment to enhancing community well-being
• Knowledge of local environmental regulations and best practices in public space design is advantageous
