Objective / Purpose

The Project Director - Digital Delivery & Innovation will lead Qiddiya's strategy to position the organization at the forefront of digital innovation in project development and delivery. This role ensures that emerging technologies, digital platforms, and data-driven methodologies are embedded across all business units and delivery functions, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and decision-making in alignment with Qiddiya's ambitious growth and Vision 2030 objectives.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Define and oversee Qiddiya's digital delivery strategy, ensuring integration with all phases of the project lifecycle from planning to operations
  • Lead innovation initiatives in collaboration with business units, embedding digital solutions to improve design management, project monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Coordinate with the relevant departments on BIM, Digital Twin, and GIS initiatives to ensure alignment with delivery needs, while leading the development and deployment of efficiency-driven digital tools (dashboards, automated reporting, cost and schedule monitoring, AI-enabled analytics) that directly support project delivery excellence
  • Drive adoption of data analytics, AI, and predictive tools to enhance decision-making, schedule optimization, and cost control
  • Partner with the DFMA/Modular Project Director to align digital tools with MMC/DFMA implementation, ensuring synergy between physical and digital innovation
  • Develop and implement digital governance policies, ensuring compliance with Qiddiya's standards and Saudi national digital transformation requirements
  • Coordinate with Central Procurement and IT on the evaluation, acquisition, and implementation of digital delivery platforms and technology service providers, ensuring best-fit solutions are adopted
  • Coordinate training and knowledge-sharing programs to upskill Qiddiya staff, delivery partners, and contractors on digital tools and best practices
  • Benchmark international best practices in digital delivery and innovation, tailoring adoption to Qiddiya's large-scale program requirements
  • Manage risks and cybersecurity considerations related to digital platforms and project data
  • Support the Strategic Delivery Unit - Delivery Partnerships Lead in embedding innovation as a core enabler of delivery excellence
  • Pilot and scale innovative digital solutions, ensuring lessons learned are institutionalized across Qiddiya

Requirements

  • Degree: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline
  • Experience: 15-20 years in digital delivery, project technology, or innovation management within large-scale development programs, with at least 7-10 years in leadership roles
  • Licenses / Certifications:
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification
  • BIM Management, Digital Twin, or equivalent advanced certification desirable
  • Training in AI, Data Analytics, or Smart City frameworks advantageous
  • Skills: Strong leadership and change management skills; proven ability to embed digital solutions in complex organizations; expertise in stakeholder engagement, system integration, and cross-functional coordination
