The Project

Mace is providing project management consultancy services on a large high-luxury mixed-use development in the Western area of Saudi Arabia.

Client focus - Deliver on our promise

  • Act as the day to day operational manager for any design managers or other design management resource deployed to projects.
  • You will be responsible for leading the delivery of design management to deliver key strategic outcomes & sub-function KPIs, directly influencing strategic development.
  • You will be the main point of contact for client design issues, ensuring relationships are managed and maintained.
  • Collaborating with clients, architects, and horticulture experts to understand project objectives, requirements, and constraints.
  • Developing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Creating horticultural designs, layouts, and irrigation systems for various projects, such as gardens, parks, landscapes, or greenhouses.
  • Ensuring designs meet environmental and sustainability standards.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and analyzing site conditions to determine appropriate plant selection and maintenance practices.
  • Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Managing inventory and ensuring the availability of materials throughout the project.
  • Overseeing the implementation of horticultural projects, including site preparation, planting, irrigation system installation, and landscaping.
  • Coordinating and supervising contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and timelines.
  • Conducting regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.
  • Monitoring plant growth, health, and maintenance activities. Identify and resolve any issues or deviations from the project plan.
  • Communicating and collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to provide progress updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Preparing project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, progress reports, and final project reports.
  • Maintaining accurate records of project activities, expenses, and approvals.

  • Management of the implementation of the design management system and its effectiveness in meeting business, statutory, legal, and contractual requirements.
  • Provides leadership to managers & professionals. Oversees all phases or stages of Design Management including interactions/ coordination with construction, commercial, programme, procurement, etc.
  • Be responsible for the definition and approval of consultant appointment across all disciplines.

You’ll Need To Have

  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/ programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
  • Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the high-luxury mixed-use sector.
  • Deep construction and consultancy expertise.
  • Knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health & safety legislation.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
