Senior Data Scientist

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Data Scientist role with United Pharmaceuticals Company located in Jeddah.

The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from internal systems (POS, ERP, CRM, e-commerce) and external sources, Build and deploy machine learning models to forecast sales, predict demand, and optimize pricing, Partner with E-commerce, Marketing, CRM, and Operations teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions

Role and Responsibilities:

1 - Deliver actionable insights on customer behavior, sales trends, and product performance.

2 - Conduct A/B testing and analyze campaign effectiveness for in-store and online channels.

3 - Build and deploy machine learning models to forecast sales, predict demand, and optimize pricing.

4 - Collaborate with business units to automate manual reporting and forecasting processes.

5 - Design and implement data pipelines and dashboards using tools like Python, R, SQL, Power BI/Tableau.

6 - Ensure data accuracy, quality, and security in compliance with internal policies and data governance standards.

7 - Partner with E-commerce, Marketing, CRM, and Operations teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.

8 - Support the implementation of KPIs and performance management frameworks.

9 - Contribute to strategic planning using data-backed insights.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field

Certifications in Data Analytics, AI, or Machine Learning (preferred)

3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst in retail, FMCG, or e-commerce sectors

Strong understanding of retail metrics, customer lifecycle, and inventory planning

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Python and/or R

Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus

Knowledge of machine learning libraries: scikit-learn, TensorFlow, XGBoost, etc.
