We are looking for a Senior Cost Control Engineer to join our project Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Oversee and manage the commercial and cost aspects, manage client relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the financial success of the project.
- Manage all aspects of cost management across the project portfolio, including overseeing cost estimation, financial planning, and contract administration to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, project budgets, and financial forecasts for multiple projects, ensuring consistency and adherence to PMO standards and best practices.
- Evaluate and standardize contract terms and conditions across projects, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and control project costs across the portfolio, identifying cost risks, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization, while ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are in place.
- Review and approve invoices and payment applications across projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with contract terms, and alignment with portfolio financial controls.
- Prepare and issue consolidated progress and cost reports to project stakeholders, including senior management and clients, providing an overview of financial performance across the project portfolio.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers and financial analysts on cost management processes, ensuring consistent application of PMO methodologies and tools.
- Participate in portfolio-level project meetings and contract negotiations, offering expert advice and support on cost management strategies and financial planning.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all projects managed by the PMO.
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Engineering, construction management, Civil Engineering or MEP Engineering with QS and estimation background in PMC/ CMC / PMO role.
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Estimation background in both civil and MEP-related works for master plans, concept, schematic and detailed design stages of buildings (commercial, residential, mixed-use), roads, bridges and infrastructure works, landscaping, etc.
- Application of Estimating principles, built up rates from first principles, benchmarking rates from similar works, similar projects
- Professional accreditation, such as MRICS, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost management principles and practices, including quantity surveying, cost estimating, and contract administration.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data and financial information.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to construction cost management.
- Experience in handling a portfolio of projects to support the client on budgeting, financial forecasting, and economic performance monitoring
- Ability to work as a subject matter expert to support the team for Digital Transformation Implementation.
- Hands-on experience with CostOS or a similar platform is an added advantage. However, the candidate should possess sufficient software skills to understand and support the DX process.
