Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Construction Manager - Roads & Infrastructure to join our team! In this role you will get to manage all on-site field construction activities associated with the completion of a large project. (Typically a project having 2 to 5 million construction manhours or a total installed cost of $100 to $150 million.)

What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage the development and implementation of construction plans
- Manage the Inspection and testing materials used in road & utility corridor construction operations
- Monitoring and evaluating construction processes to ensure compliance with regulations
- Collaborating with the operations team to implement improvements in quality control procedures
- Leads planning and management of the program and ensures operational consistency across the program.
- Problem solving skills in relation to construction on site and wider activities of the project
- Coordinate with QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.
- Implement agreed strategies, through delivery of PMP’s and other key documents and approaches in accordance with program requirements and accepted best practice.
- Lead the implementation and application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts, ensuring compliance and consistency across the delivery teams.
- Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
- Facilitates forming partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations impacted by the program.
- Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.
- Interviews and selects personnel for assignment as required.
- Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals; provides training and development; completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counselling, takes corrective action as necessary.
- Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Participates in development of job safety practices.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or similar qualifications
- Minimum 15 years’ experience on construction projects, specifically roadworks and related infrastructure
- Experience delivering underground reinforced concrete Works incorporating utility ducts
- Advantageous to have extensive experience of significant PM/CM contracts.
- Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Promotes safety and implements safe systems of work
- Proven experience of working within complex construction environment- Tunnels/shafts and related infrastructure
- Ability to follow through clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Problem solving ability
- Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting). Ability to interact with senior-level management. Ability to consult, motivate, and negotiate effectively with client groups, co-workers, employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and have the ability to prioritize.
- Ability to manage effective performing teams and mentor less experienced members of staff
- Strong Contractor Management skills.
