Senior Civil Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Civil Engineer provides advanced technical leadership and supervision for major water infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Saudi Water Authority (SWA) standards. Two senior tiers exist: Highest Tier (Role 19) requires extensive experience in KSA standards with broad responsibility for water project supervision across the CENTRAL (480 man-months) and EAST (240 man-months) regions; International Tier (Role 18) brings specialized international expertise in water project supervision, complementing KSA compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise complex civil engineering works in water infrastructure (pipelines, reservoirs, treatment plants).
• Ensure strict compliance with SWA environmental, technical, and safety standards.
• Review and approve project drawings, designs, and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to align execution with project goals.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Report progress, risks, and compliance issues directly to the Project Director.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience (Highest Tier / Role 19): Minimum 15 years, with 5 years in water project supervision (KSA standards focus).
• Experience (International Tier / Role 18): Minimum 10 years, with 3 years in water project supervision (international expertise focus).
• Demonstrated success in large-scale infrastructure project management.
• Strong knowledge of both local (KSA) and international engineering standards.
