Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh under our Project Management and Construction Management (PMCM) scope. The ideal candidate should come from a technical/engineering background and will be primarily responsible for overseeing and reviewing technical submittals, including shop drawings, material approvals, and supplier pre-qualifications to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent and project specifications.
• Review and comment on material submittals and supplier pre-qualifications.
• Coordinate with the design team, contractor, and client to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure that all construction activities adhere to engineering standards, codes, and contract documents.
• Provide technical guidance and support to construction supervision teams.
• Participate in technical meetings and progress reviews with contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely response to RFIs and other technical queries.
• Support the PMCM team in quality assurance and control measures.
• Report to the Engineering/Technical Manager on key technical matters.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Proven experience working under PMCM or consultant frameworks.
• Strong technical knowledge in reviewing drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Familiarity with international standards and local authority regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP or relevant certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
