Job Description

  • Lead the structural design and analysis of maritime and coastal structures including quay walls, jetties, seawalls, breakwaters, and marine foundations.
  • Perform calculations using structural and marine engineering software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, WALLAP, and PLAXIS.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary inputs across all project stages (concept, detailed design, and construction support).
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure compliance with design requirements and regulatory approvals.
  • Provide site support during construction including technical assessments, review of submittals, and responding to RFIs.
  • Ensure design work complies with international codes and local standards including SBC, Eurocode, BS, and PIANC guidelines.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and draftsmen within the project team.
  • Contribute to quality assurance reviews and ensure deliverables are submitted on time and within budget.


Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, with at least 5 years in maritime or port infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale infrastructure or coastal/marine projects in the Gulf region is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in design software such as STAAD Pro, PLAXIS, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory processes in Saudi Arabia and experience with government or port authorities is a plus.
  • Professional membership (e.g., MICE, PE, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
